Ray Allen Melton,Sr.

Ray Allen Melton, Sr. of Nottingham Drive, Southmont Community, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at his home. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Lexington City Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Robert Tews. Mr. Melton was born October 26, 1942 to Parlie Jackson Melton and Katherine Dockery. He was a retired carpenter for Craver Construction and predeceased by a brother, Frank Melton. Surviving are his wife, Carol Jean Temples Melton of the home; sons, Richard and Daniel Melton, and Allen Melton and wife Debra all of Lexington; daughters, Jennifer Richardson of Lexington, and Robin Trent and husband Franklin of Linwood. Also surviving are grandchildren Kelly Waitman and husband Steven, Carol Ann Trent, Kimberly Leann Trent, and Ryan Blackwell.
