Rachel Irene Miller

Rachel Irene Walser Miller, 93, of Pilgrim Church Road died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Abbott’s Creek Care and Rehabilitation. A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Sunday at Pilgrim Reformed Church by the Rev. William Sowers. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor. Mrs. Miller was born August 30, 1921 in Davidson County to Emery Clarence and Mary Hartley Walser. She was a retired self-employed beautician and a member of Pilgrim Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Alpheus Miller; brother Nesbert Walser; and sister Hazel Clark. Surviving are son Ned Miller and wife Cheryl and daughter Amy Latham and partner Ed Wolfe all of Lexington; brothers Rex Walser of High Point and Don Walser of Thomasville; grandchildren Lori Latham, Lyndsi Latham, Alex Miller, and Abby Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
