Pete Clyde Greer

Pete Clyde Greer, 85, a resident of Hamil Street, died Friday, December 22, 2006 in Lexington Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2006 from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lonnie Daugherty and Pastor Kelly Frady officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Greer was born March 13, 1921 in Ashe County, NC to the late Frank and Etta Scott Greer. He was a retired employee of Young-Hinkle Furniture and was a member of the Lexington Church of God. He was a member of the Senior Adult Class at his church. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were (3) brothers. He is survived by his wife; Gay Nell Greer of the home and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at PIEDMONT FUNERAL HOME and other times will be at the residence.
