Peggy Davis Michael

Peggy Davis Michael, 78, of Foy Ave. died Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Hinkle Hospice House.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.   Mrs. Michael was born in Davidson Co. NC. On October 20, 1939 to the late Charlie D. Davis and Clara Owen Davis. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Michael, brother Ray Davis, and sisters Doris Miles and Kathie Byerly.  Surviving are her daughters Joyce Hughes (Chris) of Lexington, Becky Saylor (Jim) of Lewisville, and Wanda Lankford of Lexington. Also surviving are her sisters Joan Prevette of Virginia,  Shelby Cranford and Jean Dishmon of Lexington,  along with grandchildren Josh Yarbrough (Shannon), Matthew Lankford (Kelly), and Joseph King (Anne), and great-grandchildren Meghan, Joshua, Kassidy, Khenna, Andy, Ava and Samantha.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of WFBH-Cancer Center for the love and care shown to Peggy.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson Co., 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC. 27292.
