Peggy Jean Beck

Peggy Jean Tussey Beck, 68, a resident of Pond Street, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at the Sticht Center at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, April 29, 2007 from the Second United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Peggy was born October 29, 1938 in Davidson County to Baxter Ray Tussey and Viola Beanblossom Tussey. She was a former employee of Highway Express of Greensboro and Sara Lee Hosiery of High Point. Peggy was a member of Second United Church of Christ, where she was a member and former Secretary of the Friendship Sunday School Class, member and former Treasurer of the Sarah Circle, and member and former Secretary of the Senior Citizens Group. She was a member of the DAV. Preceding her in death were her father, and her husband, Donald R. Beck. Surviving are her mother; Viola Beanblossom Tussey of Lexington, one sister, Betty Tussey Wright and her husband, Paul of Lexington, two nieces, Paula Bailey and her husband, Terry of Lexington and Michelle Wright, and her husband, Benji Caywood of Chapel Hill, one nephew, Keith Wright and his wife, Kelly of Lexington The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the home of her mother, 519 E. First Street Extension, Lexington.
