Pauline Bates

Pauline Virginia Mize Bates, age 92 of West Center Street Ext., Lexington, NC died Saturday, July 1 at her residence. Mrs. Bates was born May 1, 1914 in Davidson County to Charlie C. Mize and Daisy Elizabeth Byerly Mize. She was a retired employee of Edgewood Apparel and was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Brantly (Bud) Bates, by a brother and 2 sisters. She is survived by a sister, Kathleen M. Younts of Lexington, by brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel Conducted by Rev. Mike Hooper and Benn Fleming. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will see friends at the funeral home 1 hour before the service on Monday.
