Paul Sheets

Paul Sheets, 81, a resident of Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Lexington, formerly of Highway 47, died Monday, September 1, 2008 in Sunbridge. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in the Chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Paul was born in Wilkes County, NC on May 29, 1927 to the late Connie Sheets and Queenie Dancy Sheets. He was a retired Electrician and a member of the IBEW. Paul was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean Conflict. Preceding him in death was his wife, Virginia Whittington Sheets. Paul is survived by two sons, Bill Sheets and his wife Betty of Vale, NC and Steve Sheets and his wife, Ruth of Hampton, VA, two daughters, Linda Hatley and her husband, Steve of Mocksville, and Carol Reavis of Monroe, GA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Piedmont Funeral Home.
