Paul Hunt

Paul Hunt, 70, of West 8th Street, died Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Lexington City Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Kiger officiating. Burial will follow after the service.  Mr. Hunt was born in Davidson County on May 10, 1947 to the late Luther David Hunt and Mattie Frances Varner Hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Medlin Hunt, grandson, Thomas Lee Rife sister, Linda Kay Hunt. He retired from Commercial Carving.  Surviving are, son, Sherrill Monroe Yates of Thomasville, daughter, Belinda Gaye Rife (Phillip) of Galivants Ferry, S.C., brothers, Thomas Wayne Hunt (Susan)of Chapel Hill, Marvin Roscoe Hunt(Norma) of Denton, William Henry Hunt(Libby) and Gary Stephen Hunt(Gay) of Thomasville, sister, Frances Hunt Thompson of Pleasant Garden, grandchildren, Rebekah Wagner of Thomasville, Joshua Mitchell of Galivants Ferry, S.C.,and great grandchild, Lena Wagner. Also surviving are his loving and loyal companion Pee-dab. A very special thank you to his faithful friends Carroll and Debra who helped look after him.
