Patsy Ashby

Patsy Ann Crotts Ashby of Lexington died Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Atrium Health-Lexington Hospital. A funeral service will be Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Open Door Baptist Church in Linwood conducted by Dr. Gary Gibson. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mrs. Ashby was born May 20, 1937 in Davidson County to the late James Conva and Clatie Mae Smith Crotts. Patsy was a caring individual that loved and faithfully attended her church. She dearly loved her family. She was a homemaker and a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and going to special events. She had a great joy in being with people. She was selfless and did not want to be a burden to others. She was so kind and always treated everyone like family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude B. Ashby. Surviving are son Kevin Wayne Ashby (Rachel) of Salisbury; daughter Claudette Tilley (Tim) of Lexington; and grandchildren Marshella Dawn Ashby and husband Greg Bobbitt, Charlie Callaway Ashby, Kelsey Tilley Rothing (Ty), Ashlyn Tilley Dillon (Trey), Lynsey Tilley Cranfill (Taylor) and Cierra Peyton Tilley, in addition to eight great-grandchildren.
