Pamela Jane Williams Thompson, 57 of New Hwy 64 East, went home to be with her Lord, early Tuesday after an eight year period of declining health. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday in the chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Garrett. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will see friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home. Pamela was born in Davidson County on April 12, 1956 to Tom Everhart Williams and Betty Ann Kennedy Williams. She had worked in the textile industry at Carolina Underwear most of her life. She was a member of Wayside Freewill Baptist Church in Thomasville. She was preceded in death by her father, and sister Janice Miller. Surviving are her mother of Thomasville, husband Gene Thompson of the home; sons Scott Thompson (Sandra) of Lexington, and Gino Thompson of the home; daughters, Lisa Chaffin (Ricky), Kelly Swartz and Michelle Falls all of Lexington; brother, Gary Williams of Thomasville; sisters Toni Varner (Steve), Debbie Ahmad, and Sharon Campbell (Wayne) all of Thomasville, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will welcome flowers, or memorials to the donor’s choice.
