Nell Beck Freeman

Rullah Nell Beck Freeman, 85, of Westdale Avenue died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at her home. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Roy Queen. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Freeman was born October 5, 1931 in Davidson County to Oscar Allison and Nellie Blake Beck. She was involved in the ministries of the churches her husband served as a Sunday School teacher, church pianist, and the WMU. She also had a sincere passion for singing for her Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Charles and Paul Allison Beck. Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Billy G. Freeman of the home; son Nathan G. Freeman and wife Judy of Cramerton, NC; granddaughter Danielle Caple and husband Kalen of Spartanburg, SC; and great-grandson Marvel “Bubba” Caple. Also surviving are sister-in-law Betty Myers and husband Barry of Southmont, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 505 Beck’s Nursery Rd., Lexington, NC 27292.
