Nancy Hathcock Myers

Nancy Hathcock Myers, 93, passed away on May 7th, 2026. Nancy was born in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Connie and Lewis Hathcock.

She is survived by her children Jeffrey and Lisa, and grandchildren Paige and Will.

Nancy may have stood just four feet eleven inches tall, but she filled every room she entered. A woman of quiet creativity and firm conviction, Nancy spent decades giving her all – to her work in Human Resources, to her home, and to the family she devoted herself to. She had an eye for beauty and a love of making spaces feel special, whether through family gatherings or the care she put into decorating. Those who knew her knew that she noticed things- the small details that others walked right past.

Nancy found joy in life’s simpler pleasures. A good book was never far from her hands. On game days, she was a devoted UNC basketball fan who took her Tar Heels seriously, and there was nothing quite like a good round of bingo to bring a smile to her face. She was a woman of structure and standards, and in her own way, that was how she showed she cared. Nancy lived by her own compass, and she followed it faithfully throughout her life.

Nancy will be interred at Forest Hill Memorial Park in her hometown of Lexington, NC.
