Nancy Rose Leonard

Nancy Rose Gobble Leonard, 88, of South NC Highway 150, passed away Monday evening at Rowan Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Sandy Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Bernie Hess officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 PM prior to the service, at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mrs. Leonard was born in Rowan County on August 29, 1932 to the late Raymond Gobble and Butchy Gobble. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Leonard. Surviving is her son, Gray Leonard and wife Kathy of Lexington, grandchildren, Ellen Leonard James and husband Aaron, Simon Leonard, along with great granddaughter, Aria James.
