Minnie Doris Koontz

Minnie Doris Koontz 85 of Clell Dr. died Saturday October 29, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday November 1,2011 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Matthews, Dr. Charles Yarbrough, Jr. and the Rev. Jay Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park . Family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M. Monday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Doris was born October 5, 1926 in Davidson County to the late Enos Ward and Velna Hunt Ward. She was formerly employed at Erlanger Mills and was a retired employee of Burlington Furniture. Doris was preceded in death by her husband D. Wade Koontz. Surviving are, daughter; Janet Long and husband Ron of Midway, grandchildren; Mark Long and wife Christy, Alyson Roy and husband Jeff, great grandchildren; Parker Roy, Conner Roy , Bryson long, Jackson Palmer and Madison Palmer.
