Minnie Valine Ferguson

Minnie Valine Lookabill Ferguson, 88, of Alston Brook died Friday, June 23, 2017 at the nursing center. A funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Revs. Sam Harvey and Richard Johnson. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Lookabill was born in Davidson County on May 4, 1929 to the late Earl Jacob and Lillie Peacock Lookabill. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church, and retired from Family Dollar Store. Preceding her in death was her husband Woodrow Ferguson, son John Ferguson, brothers Gilbert, Jake, Bill, Johnny, and Glenn Lookabill, and sisters Pearl Curry and Exie Williams. Surviving are sons Randall Ferguson (Wanda) of Lexington and Daniel Ferguson (Susie) of North Wilkesboro; daughters Sharon Allred (Tom) of Lexington, and Sarah Kepley (Van) of Morehead City; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister Helen Meachum (Bob) of Lexington. Memorials may be made to New Testament Baptist Church, 3591 Old Linwood Rd., Lexington, NC 27292.
