Minnie Lee Beaver

Minnie Lee “Dolly” Michael Beaver, 91, of North Koontz Road, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Alston Brook Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Little officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Beaver was born in Davidson County March 9, 1925 to Ira and Minnie Mae Sain Michael. She retired from Lexington Furniture Industries and was a member of Yadkin College Baptist Church. She was a great loving person who loved her Lord, and was a great inspiration to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Max Hal Beaver, Sr., a son Ernest Lee Beaver, a granddaughter, Wanda Lane Dennis, four brothers, and four sisters. Surviving are sons Max Hal Beaver, Jr. (Tina) of Lexington, and Ricki Lynn Beaver (Tammy) of Welcome; daughter Betty Carol Beaver Surratt (Jerry) of Lexington; brother Howard Michael (Nellie) of Rowan County; and sisters Juanita Perrell (Billy) and Nellie Forrest all of Lexington. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Alston Brook Nursing Center for their love and care of Mrs. Beaver.
