Mildred Katherine Clapp

Mildred Katherine Overcash Clapp, 82, of S. NC Highway 150, died Friday at the home of her daughter in Rockwell. Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel . Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Clapp was born in Cabarrus County on May 2, 1932 to the late Vance Overcash and Essie Grady Overcash.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Houston Clapp, and her sister, Emma. Surviving are, son, Darrell Keith Fleeman and Partner Clarence Haynes of the home; daughter, Mary Barringer and husband Buddy of Rockwell; grandchildren, Joshua Ferguson and Brittney Walters, great grandchildren, Destanie Faith Hulen, Bobby Keith Ferguson, Rainey Shair Walters and Jaxon Zane Walters, brothers, Jackie Gray Overcash of Salisbury and Spanky Wood of Winston Salem.
