Maxine Yarborough

  Maxine Koonts Yarborough, 88, of S. NC Highway 150, died Wednesday December 27, 2017 at Brian Nursing Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday December 31, 2017 at Reeds Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Henry Watterson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at the church. At all other times the family will be at the home of Jeffery and Jamie Yarborough.  Mrs. Yarborough was born in Davidson County on February 15, 1929 to the late Willie Koonts and Lela Cross Koonts. She was retired from Duracell Battery Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Yarborough, sons, Jeffery Craver Yarborough and James G. Yarborough, Jr., brother, Bill Koonts, sisters, Lois K. Porter, and Christine Koonts Smith.  Surviving are, son, Steve Yarborough of Lexington, grandson, Jamie Yarborough of Lexington.  Memorials may be made to, Reeds Baptist Church, 180 Reeds Baptist Church Rd., Lexington, NC 27295.
