Mattie Myers

Mrs. Mattie Brewer Myers, age 84 of Lexington died Friday, December 11 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 16 at Wesley Heights United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Shoaf-Brewer Cemetery in Churchland. She was born in Troup County Georgia on february 25, 1925 to the late John Clark Brewer and Else Shoaf Brewer. She was predeceased by her husband, Foy Franklin Myers and a grandson, Chris Myers. Mrs. Myers was a member of Wesley Heights United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, th Christian Women Club, a Volunteer in the Lexington Memorial Hospital Gift Shop and she was very active in her church family and community. Mrs. Myers is survived by a son Monty Myers and wife Martha of Lexington, two grandchildren, Patrick Myers and Ann Sadler and husband Andrew and one great grandchild, Sterling Sadler. The family will see friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday , Dec. 15 at Piedmont Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wesley Heights United Methodist Church, 100 Western Blvd., Lexixngton, NC 27295.
