Matthew Brian Wilson

Matthew Brian Wilson,22, of Lexington passed away Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

A Memorial service will be held at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 PM Tuesday November 29, 2022, officiated by pastor Anna Carter. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM prior to the service.

Matthew was born February 15, 2000, in Lexington to Brian Newton Wilson and Susan Craft Wilson and was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Beatrice Craft, Nancy Gilchrist and Harold Wilson.

He was a graduate of West Davidson High School and attended Appalachian State University. Matthew enjoyed music, art, design and technology and dearly loved his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Brian and Susan of the home, grandmother, Barbara Wilson; grandfather, Robert Gilchrist; a host of beloved cousins, aunts and uncles; his special friend, Sarah Gosnell and his cats Mozart and Millie.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the staff at Atrium Health WFBMC for their remarkable care and compassion and to Maria, Mary Kate and Arthur at Honor Bridge for their amazing support.
