Mary Sue Young

Mary Sue Windsor Young, 88, a resident of South NC Highway 150, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Autumn Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, conducted by Preacher Clyde Akers. Mary was born in Rowan County, NC on August 17, 1919 to the late John Sherman and Mary Yarbrough Windsor. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and quilting. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Carl Young in 1994, a son, Robert Edward Young, a sister, Mildred King, two brothers, Bill Windsor and J.R. Windsor. Mary is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Sue Stiles of Mount Carmel, TN, two sisters, Helen Jacobs of Cornelius, and Florence Linder of Salisbury, two brothers, Fraley Windsor of Fayetteville, and Sherman Windsor of Spencer. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jody Young, Robert Eric Young, Bryan Stiles and Amanda Howell, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 7 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home.
