Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Henderson”Mary Beth” Sink, age 76, a resident of Lexington Health Care, formerly of N.C. Hwy 150 North, Lexington, died Monday, August 13, 2007 at 7:45 AM in Lexington Health Care, after a serious illness of three months. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Reeds Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Ackerman officiating. Interment will follow in Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sink was born in Forsyth County, N.C. on November 1, 1930 to the late Robert Ferdinand Henderson and Maude Barlow Henderson. Mrs. Sink and her husband of 52 years, J. Howard Sink grew produce to sell at the Winston-Salem Farmers Market for 49 1/2 years. She was a member of Reeds Baptist Church, a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the Kitchen and History Committee as long as health permitted. Mrs. Sink was a 1948 graduate of Wallburg High School. Two brothers also preceded her in death, Boyce F. Henderson and Finley Henderson. She is survived by one son Glenn Sink of Lexington, and one daughter LuAnn Craver and husband Ricky of Lexington, one sister LaRue Shouse and husband Cyril of Winston-Salem, and two sister-in laws Danna Henderson, of Lexington and Lola Henderson of Winston Salem. Also surviving are two Grandchildren, Kevin Craver of Raleigh, and Kyle Craver of Lexington The family will see friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter, LuAnn Craver on N. NC Hwy 150, Lexington.
