Mary Frances Hedrick Scarlett,86, of Lexington passed away Monday at Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday June 24, 2022 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mary was born in Davidson County on April 26, 1936 to the late David Lee Hedrick and Frances Hunt Hedrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Scarlett, daughter Sandra K. Dorsett, brothers, Robert Hedrick and Ray Von Hedrick. Surviving is her son, David Ray Scarlett (Lisa) of Southmont, daughter, Wanda Lee Scarlett (Jesse) of Lexington, son in law, Jimmy Dorsett, brothers, Richard Hedrick, Sr. of Advance and Roy C. Hedrick of Lexington, grandchildren, Elizabeth, Landa and Charity, great-grandchildren, Dillon and Skyler
