Mary Nadine Meacham Wilson

Mary Nadine Meacham Wilson, 80, of Brian Center, formerly of Pickard Circle, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spruce Street Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a charter member, by Pastor Terry Coats and the Rev. Noah Frye. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Wilson was born July 2, 1925, in Davidson County to Oscar Joseph Meachum and Minnie Freelove Kimbell Meachum. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Wilson; a daughter, Janet Wilson Bailey; and three brothers, Ed, Charlie and J.C. Meachum. Surviving are her daughter, Judy Tarlton and her fiancé, Mike Scarlett, of Lexington; one son, Donald Ray Wilson and his wife, Barbara, of Winston-Salem; three sisters, Naomi Lookabill and her husband, Jake, Juanita Black and Maxine Burkhart and her husband, Clayburn, all of Lexington; one brother, Bob Meachum of Greensboro; five grandchildren, Christopher Tarlton and his wife, Valerie, Scott Bailey, Dawn Young, Michael Wilson and Kimberly Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Sierra Young. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter, 15 Pickard Circle.
