Mary Elizabeth Mcguire

Mary Elizabeth McGuire,81, of Front Street,  passed away Sunday February 9, 2020 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab. Funeral service will be held at  2:00 PM  Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Lang officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the Funeral Home.  Mary was born in Boone North Carolina on January 21, 1939 to the late Willie and Ruby Phillips. She was a member of Lexington Pentecostal Church of Living God and was retired employee of Lexington Furniture. She was preceded in death by brother, Allen Phillips, sisters, Martha Howley and Christine Lewis. Surviving are sons, James McGuire (Judy) and Johnny Lewis McGuire (Nancy) of Lexington, brother, Johnny Phillips of Boone, sister, Linda Mast of Boone, grandchildren, Michael Ball, Becky Ball, Ashley McGuire Hampton and Mary Diane McGuire all of Lexington, step grandson, Jessie Phillips of Lexington and 14 great-grandchildren.
