HEADING: Mary Leonard Everhart Mary Leonard Everhart, 88, of Greensboro St., Ext., died Monday, July 11, 2011 at Lexington Medical Center., Lexington, N.C. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, Lexington, with the Rev. John Bigelow officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Reformed Church Cemetery. Mrs. Everhart, was born November 7, 1922 in Davidson County to the late Robert Cicero Leonard, and Mae Parks Leonard. She was married September 13, 1941 to Earl Smith Everhart, who died in 1998. Also preceding her in death were 6 sisters, Geneva L. Hedrick, Helen L Everhart, Tazzra Leonard, Ethel L. Chapman, Gladys L. Kinney and Peggy Leonard; 7 brothers, Raymond Parks, Ed Leonard, Clyde Leonard, Connie Leonard, Ervin Leonard, Wallace Leonard, and Calvin Leonard. Mrs. Everhart was a member of Pilgrim Reformed Church and was a Member of Ladies Auxiliary of North Lexington Triangle Fire Dept, and had retired from Manhattan Shirt Manufacturing Co., as office manager. She is survived by one son, Leonard Earl “Butch” Everhart and his wife, Ann of Lexington; one daughter, Mary Alice Swing and her husband, Richard”Dickie” of Lexington; 1 sister, Myrtle Whittington of Lexington; 2 brothers, Laurence “Buss” Leonard and his wife, Anna, Finch Leonard and his wife, Mary Catherine; 5 grandchildren; Eric Everhart and his wife, Julie, Brian Everhart, Annette Swing Conrad and her husband, Wynn, Jennifer Swing Davis and her husband, Joe, and Jody Swing Vidal and her husband, Daniel; 7 Great Grandchildren, Ethan Conrad, Claire Conrad, Mary Davis, Sarah Grace Davis, Danny Vidal, Meg Everhart, and Jake Everhart; brother in law, Stokes Everhart; sister in law, Margaret Leonard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Piedmont Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
