Mary Jane Earwood

Mary Jane Earwood, 68, of Earwood Lane, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Thomasville Medical Center. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Piedmont Funeral Home by the Rev. Tommy Hepler. Interment will be in Moss Cemetery in Marble, N.C., at 1 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Earwood was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Cabarrus County to Edward Montgomery Earwood and Laura Carver Earwood. She was a retired cook and a member of Leonard Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Edward Lashmit. Surviving are four daughters, Nancy Smith and her husband, Warren, Donna Eaton and her husband, Ronald, and Teresa Tysinger and her husband, David, all of Lexington, and Crystal Jane Pearson and her husband, David, of Kannapolis; one stepson, Ronnie Lashmit; one sister, Sadie Brown of Lexington; six grandchildren, Lora Jane "Janie" Lashmit, Amanda Lashmit, Kevin Dean Eaton, Justin Dean Hege, Mickey Joe Lashmit and Samantha Tysinger; and one great-grandchild, Austin Daniel Gobble. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Leonard Road Baptist Church, 1815 Leonard Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
