Mary Elizabeth Dole

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Crews Dole, 79, a resident of Crews Lake Road, Lexington, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at 2:50 AM in Lexington Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will held Monday, November 19, 2007 at 7:00 PM from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Ackerman officiating. The Committal Service will be held in Forest Hill Memorial Park Tuesday at 3:00 PM. Mrs. Dole was born in Davidson County, NC on April 6, 1928 to the late Daniel James Crews and Zana Mae Fritts Crews. She was a retired employee of Parkdale Mills. She was a member of the Reeds Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the TEL Sunday school Class and a former Director of the WMU. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Richard Levi Dole, a sister, Jimmie Crews Foster, and a brother, Charlie F. Crews. Surviving are a sister, Ruby Crews Torrence and her husband, Robert of Lexington; Nieces, Brenda Simmons, Kathy Staten, Ann Rayburn, Tracey Medley, and Jill Crews, Nephews, David Torrence, Jeffrey Torrence, Butch Foster, and Danny Crews. Also surviving are a number of Great Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 6:45 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at home of the sister, Ruby Torrence, 382 Crews Lake Road, Lexington.
