Mary Bernice Brookshire passed away on May 11, 2026 at her residence of Davidson County. She was born to the late Russell Scott and Linda Hill Scott on October 1, 1935 in Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bruce Brookshire, her brother Russell Clayton Scott, and her sister Julie Howard.
Mary is survived by her two sons: Roy Bruce Brookshire and Lonnie Wayne Hyatt, both of Lexington, her daughter Penny Brookshire of Lexington, and her brother Henry Franklin Scott of Lexington.
Mary’s services will be held privately.
