Mary Belle Wilson “Muriel” Everhart, 84, of Hwy 150, Churchland, died Sunday, August 2, 2009. The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. , Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Churchland Baptist Church, by the Rev. Ray Nance Howell, IV, and Rev. Brian Darr. Burial will follow in the Lomax Family Cemetery in Churchland . Mrs. Everhart was born September 5, 1924 in Davidson County to the late Willie Eugene “W.E.” Wilson and Dora Belle Lomax Wilson. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 68 years, Charles Jefferson “C.J.” Everhart Jr. who died July 19, 2009; one daughter, Judy Marilyn Everhart; one brother, Hollis Wilson; two sisters, Dot McBride and Catherine Davis. Mrs. Everhart was a life-long member of Churchland Baptist Church where she had served as Director of the WMU and worked with the GA’s and Sunbeams. She was a former employee of Norman’s of Salisbury, NC, a member of the Churchland Lions Club, Churchland Senior Citizens, VFW Post 3074 Ladies Auxiliary and the Davidson County Home Extension. Mrs. Everhart is survived by , one son Charles J. Everhart, III, and his wife Glenda of Lexington; three daughters Susan Gay Darr and her husband Mike of Winston Salem, Rosemary Ohnesorge and her husband Steve of Morganton, N.C., and Dorene Snider and her husband Eric of Reeds, N.C.; two sisters, Lee Wilson Crowell of Lexington and Willie Mae Wilson Bowen of Churchland. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Rev. Brian Darr, Amy Boyte and her husband Jonathan, Carrie Leonard and her husband T.J., Anthony Darr, Grant Snider, Lauren Ohnesorge, and Paige Ohnesorge; two great-grandchildren, Alison Leonard, and Grace Boyte. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Churchland Baptist Church Fellowship Hall .
