Martin Smith Young

Martin Smith Young, 72, of Weaver Drive died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Kenneth Marshburn. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Martin was born in Davidson County April 17, 1941 to Wilson Smith and Lillian Williams Young. He retired as a project manager with Myrick Construction. Surviving are sons Jeff Young and wife Jenny, and Martin Edward Young all of Lexington, and Brian Keith Young and wife Kumi of Japan.; daughter, Ellen Elizabeth Young of Greensboro; and ten grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
