Martha Ann Rowe

Mrs. Martha Ann Clontz Rowe, 71, of Sowers Rd., Linwood, the Churchland community, died Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Randy Foster. The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery. Martha was born August 13, 1950 in Davidson County to the late Elmer Sylvanis and Texie Money Clontz. She was a school teacher for 30 years, and a member of the North Carolina Association of Educators. Preceding her in death was brother Elmer Clontz, Jr., and sisters Janie Lanning and Gayle Hand. Surviving are her husband Mike Rowe of the home; nieces Christie Lewis (Jody), Angel Lanning, Tabitha McCrary (Derek); nephews Jeremy Hand (Sarah), and Christopher Hand (Patricia); great -nieces Annabelle Herring, Addile Hand, and Kiersten Smith; in addition to great-nephews Gavin Hand, Garrett Hand, Wyatt Hand, and Braxton Smith. Also surviving are brother David Clontz, and sister Mary Kossel both of Churchland, and sister-in-law Kathy Hand (Leon).
