Martha Ferguson

Mrs. Martha Jane Hysmith Ferguson, 62, of R.L. Norris Road, died Tuesday, March 30 at Hinkle Hospice House after an extended illness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home. A private service will be held in Florida at a later date. Mrs. Ferguson was born February 12, 1948 in Manatee County, FL to Elzy Hysmith and Lessie Pyles Hysmith. She retired as a secretary for the Manatee County (FL) School Board of Education. She is survived by her husband, John Ferguson, of the home; her son, John Ferguson, III of Kernersville; her daughter, Brenda Fulghum of Linwood; her brothers, Robert Hysmith and James Hysmith, both of Manatee Co, FL; her grandchildren, Chad Fulghum, Whitney Ferguson, and J.J. Ferguson; her great grandson, Grayson Cole Ferguson; and her special brother in law and sister in law, Woodrow and Margaret Ferguson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hinkle Hospice House, 202 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
