Marlene “ Molly” Black McCoy 69 of Tyro School Road died Friday March 2, 2012 at her home on her 69th birthday. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel With the Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12: 00 P.M. 2:00 P.M. Prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Marlene was born in Guilford County March 2, 1943 to the late Samuel Lee Black and Margaret Chapel Black. She was a former Inspector for Edgewood Apparel, she was preceded in death by her first husband Frankie Lee Freeman, son Timothy Freeman, brother, Larry Black and sister, Ruby Caroline Black. Surviving are, daughters, Susie Gaye Kiger of Lexington, Penny Lee Tilley of Raleigh and Malisa Joy Simmerman of Florida, her twin sister Darlene “Dolly” Floyd,of Lexington and sisters Lenora Musgrave and Janice Black of Lexington, 16 grandchildren. The family will be at the home of her sister Darlene Floyd 3556 Old Highway 109 Lexington. Donations may be made to: The Pastor’s Pantry 307 N. State St. Lexington, NC 27292.
