Maggie Roach Hedrick

Maggie Roach Hedrick, 91 of Old Salisbury Road, died Thursday, December 17, 2010 at Hinkle Hospice House after declining health. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Macedonia United Methodist Church, Southmont with the Rev. Burt Williams and also along with family members speaking. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hedrick was born August 26, 1919 in Rowan County to the late Arlis Roach and Bessie Walser Roach. Also preceding her in death was her husband Voncannon S. Hedrick. She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and will be remembered for the many beautiful homemade quilts she shared with friends and family. Surviving are two daughters; Norma H. Kennedy and her husband Aaron of Lexington and Linda H. Evans of High Point; 3 grandchildren, John Evans of Asheboro, Felissa Kennedy and Cassie Kennedy Hodgin both of Lexington, ; 2 great grand-children , Gracie Joy Hedrick and Mabry Wren Hedrick. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Piedmont Funeral Home, and before the Services, Sunday, from 12:30 to 1:30 at Macedonia Church.
