Mae Alice Weaver

Mae Alice Leonard Weaver, 91, of Ruff Leonard Road, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at the home of her daughter. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Revs. Jerry Williams and Tommy Graham. Burial will follow at Reedy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Weaver was born in Davidson County on August 8, 1924 to Rufus C. and Bertha Agnes Craver Leonard. She was a member of Reedy Creek Church of Christ, and retired from the Davidson County School System as a cafeteria cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Allen Weaver in 1996; and six brothers, Harvey, Clarence, Paul, Allen, Ellard, and Orville Leonard. Surviving are daughter Dottie Edmonds Reeves and husband Danny of Lexington; granddaughter Natalie Edmonds Brown and husband Michael of Lexington; great-granddaughter Laura Mae Brown of Lexington; and two sisters, Blanche Younts and Mildred Barbry both of Lexington.
