Lynn Jarratt

Edward Lynn Jarratt, 71, of Linwood, NC died Wednesday, March 26 at his sister’s home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 28 at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Brian Alexander and Rev. Lamar Moore with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Jarratt was born June 1, 1936 in Davidson County to James Wade Jarratt and Gladys Fitzgerald Jarratt. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University where he also obtained his Masters Degree. He had worked as a school teacher in the Lexington City and Davidson County School Systems and was last employed as a Media Specialist at North Davidson Middle School. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and member of the Church Choir. Mr. Jarratt is survived by his sister, Mrs. Alma Jarratt Grubb of Linwood, and nephews, Keith Grubb of Lexington and Stanley Grubb of Deep Gap. The family will see friends at the residence of the sister Mrs. Alma Grubb on Sowers Road, Linwood. Piedmont Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
