Lucille Tucker

Lucille Everhart Tucker,94, of Veterans Way, Kernersville, formerly of Winston Salem passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at Summerstone Health & Rehab Center in Kernersville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Lucille was born in Guilford County on March 26, 1928 to the late Johnnie Edgar Everhart and Maude Sleeta Hedrick Everhart. She was formerly employed at Duracell and later retired as housing supervisor at Community General Hospital in Thomasville. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Tucker; sisters, Bernice Eddings, Betty Quinn, Jo Ann Miller, and Martha Brown; and brother, Bobby Ray Everhart. Surviving are son Robert Paul Spurrier, Jr. of Kernersville; daughters Karen Spurrier Lawson of Greensboro, and Judy Spurrier Latham of Winston-Salem; sister, Martha Earnhardt of Albermarle; five grandchildren, and two great-gransdsons.
