Lucille Poehmel O'Mara

Lucille Poehmel O’Mara age 75, a resident of Union Lane N.W. Shallotte , N.C. formerly of Jubilee Road, Linwood passed away Thursday night January 7, at Autumn Care Nursing in Shallotte. Lucille was born June 22, 1934 in Long Island, N.Y., to Lawarence and Sally Aker Poehmel. She was married to William J. O’Mara who in addition to her parents preceded her in death. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday January 11, 2010 in Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating, burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. She is survived by a son William O’Mara Jr. of Lexington; daughter Cherie O’Mara of Shallotte; and one grandson Ryan Caudle and girlfriend Laura Tysinger of Linwood. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday January 10, 2010 at Piedmont Funeral Home.
