Lucille Boone

Lucille C. Boone, 84 , of Thompson St. died Monday, October 3, 2022 at Hinkle Hospice House. A private service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoelum conducted by the Rev. Randy Foster. Mrs. Boone was born October 20, 1937 in Sneedsville TN, to the late Walter and Tessie Johnson. She was a retired manager for J.H. Ferguson, Inc., and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. She was a woman of strong faith and showed unconditional love to whomever she came in contact with. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Boone; brothers Ralph, Carl, Dennis, Glenn, and Otis Johnson; half-sister Faye Mallory, and adoptive parents Edwin and Frances Correll. Surviving are daughters Robin Boone Correll (Johnny) and Julie Boone Welch all of Lexington; brothers Loal and Goble Johnson of Lexington, Gerald Johnson of Florida, and half-brother Donnie Johnson of TN; half-sister Doris Vanover of TN; grandchildren Shannon Long, Mark Correll, and Benji Correll; great-grandchildren Cole, Abby, Emma, and Grace Justice; and great-great grandchild River Wayne Todd.
