Luanne Snider Wilson

Luanne Snider Wilson, a resident of Will Snider Road in the Churchland Community, died Tuesday at her home after an extended illness. She was 42. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM, at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster and Mr. Mo Chilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Clyde and Ruby Snider Family Cemetery. Luanne was born in Davidson County on October 21, 1965, to Clyde R. Snider, Jr. and the late Jeanette Leonard Snider. She was a graduate of West Davidson High School and Elon College. She taught at West Davidson High School where she was head of the Exceptional Children's Department and served as the Cross County Coach, as long her health permitted. She was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Celebration Class and the Circle of Love. Luanne is survived by her husband, Monty Lane Wilson and their children, Carrie, Matthew and Natalie all of the home, her father Clyde R. Snider, Jr., her brothers, Kent Snider and his wife Emily, and Shane Snider and his wife Gina, all of the Churchland Community. Also surviving are her father and mother-in-law, Paul and Delois Wilson; a sister-in-law, Gina Gobble and her husband, Frank, of Salisbury; brothers-in-law, Greg Wilson and his wife, Angie, of Churchland; and Cory Wilson and his wife, Caroline, of Dunn; nine nieces, three nephews, and two great nieces. Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Lester and Helen Leonard, and her paternal grandparents, Clyde and Ruby Snider. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 9 PM at Tyro United Methodist Church and other times will be at the residence. The family would like to thank the Staff and Nurses of Hospice of Davidson County for their love and care shown to Luanne over the past several months.
