Louise Pruitt Story, 67, of Fairview Drive, died Friday morning, Dec. 1, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Prebyterian Church, where she was a member, led by the Revs. Bea Copeland and Bill Sosebee. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Story was born May 6, 1939, in Pittsylvania County, Va., to George William and Sue Viola Barber Pruitt. She was an employee of Kroger, retiring with 12 years of service, and later retired as cafeteria manager with Wal-Mart after 12 years of service. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Class at Second Prebyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Louis Story of the home; a daughter, Debbie Richmond of Graham; a son, Allen Saunders and his wife, Shelia, of Shallotte; a stepdaughter, Monica Whitman and her husband, Jimmy of Lexington; two stepsons, Danny Story and his wife, Christina, of Atlanta, Ga., and Terry Story and his wife, Sue, of Lexington; two sisters, Carolyn Smithers of Providence and Betty Roland of Danville, Va.; a brother, David Pruitt and his wife, Mary, of Danville, Va.; nine grandchildren, Ryan Story, Rusty Story, Kristen Story, Jessica Story, Ashlee Richmond, Marcus Richmond, Anthony Saunders, Joe Evans and Miller Evans; and two sisters-in-law, Louise S. Coleman of Lexington and Gail McBride of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Piedmont Funeral Home, and other times at the home of a sister-in-law, Louise Coleman, 122 Dellwood Drive in Lexington.
