Louise Rowland Easter

Louise Rowland Easter, 87, of Jubilee Road, died Wednesday March 23, 2016 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Smith Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM Saturday at the church, and other times at the home. Mrs. Easter was born in Rowan County on January 11, 1929 to the late Clarence Gilbert Rowland and Jessie Poole Rowland. She was a retired employee of Burlington Furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband John Lee Easter, and brother Egbert Rowland. Surviving are son Tony Easter (Sandy) of Lexington; daughters Sheila Price ( Michael), Kathy Wilson (John), and Carolyn Hubbard all of Linwood, and Bonnie Hodge (Barney) of Lexington; grandchildren Jennifer Norman (Brian), Kelly Hernandez (Javier), Ashley Byerly (Bryan), and Justin Wilson; and great-grandchildren Cierra Bates, Blair Norman, and Landon Norman.
