Loretta Young Phillips

Loretta Young Phillips, 76, of Freewood Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, by the Rev. Tommy Hepler. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel. Mrs. Phillips was born in Davidson County, Sept. 27, 1938, to Leo Jackson and Ollie Bowers Young. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Judy Ludwig. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are, her husband Wayne Phillips; daughter Lea Ann Lopez and husband Anthony of Charlotte; brother Jimmy Young and wife Becky of Pearisburg, Va.; sisters Sue Buie and husband Terry and Jill Finney and husband Dean all ofLinwood, and Sherry Sink and husband Corky of Lexington. Also surviving is grandson Matthew Phillip Lopez of Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
