Lorenze Essick

Mr. A. Lorenze Essick, age 68 of Friendship Church Road, Lexington, NC died Wednesday, March 5. A funeral service will be held at 11;00 AM Saturday, March 8 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Glen Sanford. Burial will follow in the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Essick was born in Davidson County on August 19, 1939 to Olin McKinley Essick and Delta Walser Essick. He was a retired carpenter from Craver & Essick Construction Company and later worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Kenneth Essick and brothers Billy Essick and Ransom Essick. He is survived by his wife Maggie Julian Essick of the home: sons Vernon Essick and wife Sandy of Welcome and David Essick and wife Angie of Lexington; a daughter Diana Leonard and husband Corey of Welcome. Sisters, Mittie Allen and husband Boyd; Myrtle Brandon; Clara Smith and husband Monroe all of Lexington. Grandchildren, Matthew Essick and wife Betsy; Kristen Essick , Rebecca Essick and Taylor Essick. Great Grandchild, Jake Essick. Many Special Friends.
