Lois Swicegood Snider

Lois Swicegood Snider, 83 of Old Salisbury Road, Linwood, the Churchland Community, died June 26, 2013 at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Katherine Pace officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. prior to the service, at Piedmont Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Private interment will be at a later time at Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery Mrs. Snider was born December 12, 1929 in Davidson County to the late D. Woodson Swicegood, and Afton Williams Swicegood. Also preceding her in death was her husband A. Lee Snider, Jr. who died March 13, 1995. Her infant son Paul Robert Snider also preceded her in death , as well as a sister Helen Swicegood. Mrs. Snider previously attended both Churchland Baptist Church and Yadkin Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, and had retired as owner of Lois CB Sales. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard Snider of Salisbury and Jerry Snider of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 daughters, Sharon Hartley and husband Rudy of Lexington, and Gayle Buddenbaum and husband Karl of Harrisburg NC; 2 sisters, Leona Hartley and husband Thomas, and Daphne Church all of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Salem Dietz and husband Brandon, Raina Goble and husband Garret, Cori Buddenbaum and Casey Buddenbaum; 3 great- grandchildren, Jayten Snider, Maclaine Dietz, and Taybryn Dietz; special niece and caregiver Bonnie Ruth Lail of the home; and daughter –in- law, Emily Baity Snider.
