Linda Carol Leonard

Linda Carol Leonard, 68, of Lexington, died Friday July 12, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Howard Baker and the Rev. Tony Metze officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Saturday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the homes of sisters Barbara Kepley and Nell Kimbrell. Linda was born in Davidson County on May 14, 1945 to the late John C. Leonard,Sr. and Ima Eulala Williams Leonard. She was a homemaker who enjoyed needlework, and was a life-long member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Surviving are brothers, John C. Leonard,Jr. (Barbara) of Pahrump, Nev.; Steven Leonard (Mary) of West Jefferson; sisters, Barbara Kepley (Malbourne) of Lexington and Nell Kimbrell (Darrell) of Tyro; nieces Christina Metze, Kathy Kimbrell, Carol Weast, Amy Dozier, and Laura Leonard; nephews, James Kimbrell, Larry Kepley, Bobby Leonard, Michael Leonard, Tony Leonard, and Jimmy Leonard; and numerous great- and great- great nieces and nephews.
