Linda Carol Earles, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 19, 2026, in Linwood, North Carolina. Born on November 3, 1959, in Pikeville, Kentucky, Linda was a shining light of love and kindness in the lives of all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Reverend David Wooten officiating.
For 17 years, Linda dedicated her work to Transit Damaged Furniture (TDF), where she cherished her co-workers as family. Prior to that, she spent 18 years at Lexington Furniture Industries (LFI), forging lasting friendships along the way. Her vibrant personality left a mark on both her professional and personal circles. She was known as Linda, then earned the titles of Momma and Nana.
Linda's passions extended well beyond her family and professional life; she found joy in being outdoors. She loved flower gardens, watching hummingbirds, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always made sure those around her never did without. Linda also delighted in her visits to Starbucks and enjoyed shopping excursions at Kohl's, where her laughter and warmth resonated with everyone around her.
Family held a special place in Linda's heart, and she is survived by her loving daughters, Billie Simerson and husband Adam, and Jo Coble and husband Eugene. She was a proud grandmother to Shane Moore, Travis Lambeth, Casey Coble Pugh and husband Zach, Cody Coble, and Chasity Coble, who brought her boundless joy. Linda was also a proud great-grandmother to Kennedy Moore, Colby Johnson, and Oakley and Lainey Pugh. Her brother Bobby Ferrell and his wife Denise, as well as her sisters Dreama Auman and husband Allen and Mildred Endicott, who will forever cherish her memory. Linda’s passing marks a profound loss for her best friends Gail Medlin and Debbie Foster as well.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, William Robert Stewart, her mother, Ruth Wright Stewart, her husband James Earles, her brother Walter Ferrell, and her sister Betsy. Their guiding spirits will always remain with those she leaves behind.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Davidson County and Piedmont Funeral Home for their compassionate assistance during this difficult time.
As we remember Linda Carol Earles, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. Her legacy of caring and nurturing will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have known her.
