Linda Gail Deal

Linda Gail Gobble Deal, 61, of Walser Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Kenneth Deal and Johnny Gobble. Interment will be in Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Deal was born June 27, 1945, in Davidson County to Elijah and Eva Eller Gobble. She was a retired employee of Dacotah Mills, and was a member of and attended faithfully New Life Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were a son, Michael Deal, and two sisters, Shelby Beck and Alice Crabtree. Surviving are a son, Junie Deal of Lexington; two daughters, Tammy Everhart and her husband, Rick, of Holden Beach and Angie Cochran and her husband, Keith, of Lexington; three brothers, Johnny Gobble and his wife, Betty, of Denton, and Grady Gobble and his wife, Carol, and Leslie Gobble, all of Linwood; three sisters, Bonnie Deal and her husband, the Rev. Kenneth Deal, and Frances Dillon and her husband, Bobby, all of Lexington, and Sandra Hunt and her husband, Paul, of Thomasville; five grandchildren, Allen and Lindora Gainey, Bryan Cochran, and Chase and C.J. Deal; three great-grandchildren, MaKayla and Landon Gainey and Cathan Cochran; two stepgrandchildren, Crystal Keen and Tabitha Cochran; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Zach, Aleigha and Bryson Keen. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times will be at 279 Freewill Circle. Online condolences may be made at www.piedmontfuneralhome.com.
