Lester Grant Ward, Sr.

Mr. Lester Grant Ward, Sr., 70, of Andrew Sink Rd., died Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. No formal services are scheduled. Mr. Ward was born January 7,1952 in Avery County to the late Clint and Dollie Hicks Ward. He was a graduate of West Davidson High School and NC State University, and retired from Gilbarco Corporation of Greensboro, NC. In his spare time, he enjoyed painting, sculpting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Larry Ward, and sisters Beulah Ward and Tina Ward. Surviving are his wife Judy Smith Ward of the home; sons Adam Grant Ward (Rachel) of Greensboro, and Jason Ward of Thomasville; sister Glenda Shrewsbury of Lexington; brother Gifford Ward of South Carolina; grandchildren Kalei Seagraves, Piper Ward, and Connor Ward; and special sister-in-law Cathy Smith of Reeds.
